I have had many people mention about the upgrades and how the furniture needs to be updated. The owner is actually fixing to do some major upgrades to the unit over the winter season. So I would recommend checking the condo out again sometime next year.

Well, The Condo is in need of an update. However, we had a grand time. Destin is by far a wonderful vacation, we love to go and just relax on the balcony and spend time with our friends. This condo., is not a grand luxurious condo, even though you might want it to be, it's not- it needs a remodel but, I'm not complaining because I was in Destin with Good Friends, Beautiful Water, Good Food, and a place to sleep and relax. We really love Shoreline Towers period because of the Ease of Access to the Beach, the Rental Chair people that are there and we can rely on to have our spot and we know the place, every year. Just be prepared that it's not an updated condo. We Love You Shoreline and we named the Master Suite, "The Liberace Master Bedroom!"

Some of the reviews I read, before I booked this, had me a little nervous. It was completely unwarranted! Yes, this condo is a a throwback to my teen years, however, it was clean and had everything my family needed for an amazing week at the beach. It was clean, well-stocked, the staff was awesome, and the location can’t be beat. We took our 3 (20ish) kids who have all left the nest (college and military) and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space but all come together as a family and hang out too. Our 20 year old daughter took the front bedroom, which I think originally was intended to be the master but only has a full bed. It’s quite extravagant... she laughed a said she felt like she was at the Palace of Versailles. Overall, a fantastic vacation- we would definitely go back!

Needs some major renovations

We have been coming to SLT for years. This is the first time to stay in this unit. It is very spacious and the view is amazing!! However, you feel like you have stepped in a time warp. The place is screaming for some renovations. Everything is out of date. The wallpaper is peeling, all the bathroom fixtures are so brittle and on the verge of breaking. The electrical needs to be updated. We had to call maintenance because the socket in the master bath was shooting sparks. It took all day for someone to come fix it. I don’t think we will ever stay in the unit again unless some major renovations are done.

This is the second time we have stayed in this unit in Tower 1, mainly due to the A/C which works beautifully compared to other units at Shoreline Towers. It is a large 3 bedroom and 3 bath unit that has a beautiful view of the water. The unit is truly in need of some renovations including updating the bathrooms, fixing the fringe on the throw rugs so you don't trip in the hallway, getting new carpet so you don't step on the exposed carpet tack strips in the master bath, fixing handles on furniture, fixing the leaking fridge, getting more eating utensils so we didn't have to wash them by hand after each use, and updating the kitchen. The couch has built in recliners, which is awesome, but the vinyl is peeling off on it. We have been staying at Shoreline Towers since the 1980's and will continue to do so because of the beautiful beach, wonderful chair attendants on the beach and you can't beat the location. This unit also comes with an assigned parking spot in the parking garage which is nice to have during the busy season or when it is pouring down rain! I would definitely give this unit 5 stars if it were updated.

Loved sitting on the deck watching dolphins in the morning and then the gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Wonderful staff. Well manicured grounds. This particular unit could use some "TLC" with paint, and better functioning plumbing in the bathrooms. Also, some more lighting in the living room (overhead in particular).

Have been staying on this property off and on for 30 years. Very hard to beat the beach view and access. Within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The unit we stayed in this year needs a lot of updating, particularly kitchen (e.g. knobs on cupboards are missing or pull off when opening, dishwasher racks missing parts, etc.) Kitchen appliances and dishes more than adequate. Unit was clean and beds comfortable. Would be nice to have king bed in front bedroom. It was nice having parking in garage for this unit. Overall good stay. Will likely return in the future.

We loved the spacious unit and were happy with the amenities that were provided! A few small things that need updated/ or repaired but overall it is a beautiful unit and we look forward to staying there in the future! Only big issue was continued power outages including on the day of check out so we had to walk up and down 12 flights of stairs on several occasions

We rented 1122 for the Christmas week. Other than a few obvious things that needed updating...the unit was perfect for our needs. The whole family loved it.

This was one of the best trips to the beach by way of this condo. The view was amazing from the balcony and the west bedroom that could be a master. The place was very roomy with plenty of sleeping space. Kitchen was great with double oven, cooktop and griddle with plenty of dishes and cookware. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommended!!

This has been a very hot summer and with the temperatures in the mid 90's with a heat index of 100 a temperature of 74 degrees sounds comfortable. I know the a/c vents were checked recently and the air coming out of the vents was blowing at 68 degrees. We are glad you had a great time and you loved the location. Overall we were happy with the condition of the unit we rented but there were certain things about the property that need to be updated like the fixtures in the bathrooms especially in the master bathroom. The bed in the master bedroom is too small and uncomfortable.

This 3 bedroom penthouse is beautifully decorated, well maintained and very clean. The check-in process for my guests was easy and they all had a marvelous stay. One commented he felt as if he was staying at a Ritz Carlton. The nightly rate was very reasonable, and I have no hesitation recommending it.
