Room 701 is in desperate need for renovation. The receptacles are separated from the wall and dangerous, the cabinets and doors are frayed at the bottom, the closet door is off in the guest bedroom, the mirrors have black circles, and the kitchen smelled terrible. I had to go to the lobby to get Clorox wipes and Lysol to clean it myself. However, we were very pleased with the overall resort itself. It was clean and very well maintained.

Holiday Surf has wonderful facilities. The unit itself was disappointing. Had to go buy a cable to try to get TV in master to work; still didn't (could only get one channel). Also no batteries in some of the remotes, no cable, very high pressure in the showers, broken ironing board.

Couldn’t ask for a better location and view. However, for the price of the unit... furnishings needed to be updated badly. Some living room furniture was horribly worn out. The bed sheets were rough and covered in fuzz balls with no extras available. Overall it was a good stay due to the location.

The room was very nice and my stay was relaxing. An excellent view of the beach. The balcony had 4 chairs and a table - it might be a tad crowded if you had 4 adults on there at one time. I would have liked a chaise lounge for relaxing/napping but I'm sure space was an issue.

Great property - only basic units with no extras

Expect just the basics in these units. Our units had not coffee or basic needs covered. Beds were not very comfortable and linens were clean but not nice. Pillows were thin and not comfortable. Unit is old with broken drawers. Clean but expect no extras.
If you like to cook you will not like the provided kitchen basics. Stove burns uneven. Peeler, knives and cookware worn and frustrating to work with.
Property facilities were kept up nicely. Staff was nice. Gym was big enough but needs some equipment updates and missing pieces to the cross cable system. Gym opens late.
Liked location of facilities that were far enough away from the crowds but close drive for grocery and other basics you need.

Desperately Needs Updating

First, the location of the condo is superb. The views are amazing. Management company was top notch with easy check in and check out. That being said, though, the condo itself needs some serious TLC. The carpet is worn and stained. The furniture is mismatched. The equipment in the kitchen is just sad. Sometimes the coffee maker worked; sometimes it did not. Mismatched silverware, dishes, glass ware, etc. The view and location is absolutely worth $250+ per night. The interior, though, reminded me of what you'd find in a cheap motel. Our kids rented two other units, and they were beautiful inside. We will definitely return to HSRC, but we will find a different unit.

Could use some updating in furnishings and fixtures. Twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were placed in a position that makes it impossible to open the closet so be prepared to move the bed a little. A cost of paint, some counter tops and a few things could really help this place. But it has all you need for a fun week at the beach.

Unit 701 was very clean when we arrived and offers a wonderful view of the beach. The king bed was firm but comfortable. The unit offers decent amenities and furniture but needs some updating, especially the tan carpet which has some wear/stains. The lobby, pool, tennis courts and outside areas are all well maintained and very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and recommend Holiday Surf & Racquet.

Beachfront Condo with Great View

Easy access to the beach for my 2-year-old was my first priority for choosing this unit. The condo is right on the beach and has the most amazing if not the best view of the ocean. However, the unit is far from the elevator which made it inconvenient going all the way up to the top floor and around the perimeter of the building just to get to the condo. Though the condo has a great view of the beach and ocean, the condo is in need of renovation in decor and style. The Holiday Isle Beach Service attendant, Andrew I believe is his name, was wonderful. He made sure we were comfortable and adjusted our umbrella to make sure we were out of the sun. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just make sure to get down to the beach early to reserve a chair and umbrella (by 8am). The property is close to the Destin Commons which has a good selection of restaurants and shopping stores. Traffic is a bit of a pain, we visited in June, which is a busy time even during COVID19 Pandemic. Overall it was a pleasant stay for my family.

4th of July at the beach

We love Holiday Surf & Racquet Club. This was our 3rd time staying and I think we found our favorite room. 701 was spacious and clean. The view was amazing.
My only recommendation would be to have the owners install a pull down sprayer in the shower to help with bathing children, especially getting sand out of their hair.
Also it would have been nice if the front desk would have informed us that on the 4th you dont have to go anywhere except your balcony to see plenty of fireworks.
The location of the condo is perfect. There are so many close option to eat and shop. We recommend Mello Mushroom, Jim and Nick's, and Fudpuckers. Riding the go carts at The Track is a must as well.
Can't wait to schedule our next trip!!!

July 2018 Beach Getaway

We love our annual beach vacation to Holiday Surf, #701 is our choice location there. This is our 6th visit to Holiday Surf. #701 is on the top floor and we love the spectacular view of the beach.
It would be great if the owners could update the furniture. Same couch and chairs that have been there for several years. Add a Kherig type coffee maker.
We love making this a family vacation destination.

The location was ideal, close to restaurants & grocery stores and Condo #701 was right on the beach , a bit of a walk but worth the view. A few complaints about the condo itself, the twin beds in the second bedroom need to be replaced, they were awful. I would suggest replacing the hot water heater, there were 3 of us, by the third person there was no hot water. The property needs to have more luggage racks, there only 4 and the amount of people checking in, we had to wait 30 minutes. Other than that, it was awesome !!
