Black Friday on the Emerald Coast

shopping

It’s almost time. The biggest shopping weekend of the year is right around the corner. Black Friday is a big deal to most people around the holiday season because it’s when you get the best deals. Destin, Florida has some of the best shopping around so we expect lots of visitors around this time. Stores haven’t released their extended hours just yet but we can assume the shopping extravaganza will begin even earlier than Friday as it has in recent years. So where will you go on that fateful weekend? Best Buy and Target never disappoint on Black Friday sales and often have lines across the parking lot when the doors open.

Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall is a big attraction to the Emerald Coast. The shopping center is conveniently located within walking distance of many Destin vacation rentals and boasts 110 designer and name brand stores. While year-round savings can be found up to 65% off original price, Black Friday offers door busters and extra low prices. There are several restaurants around the mall and even a playground in the courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue off 5th.

Destin Commons has been voted “Best Place to Shop” by readers of Emerald Coast Magazine with good reason. The open-air shopping center features over 70 stores and restaurants with more added each year. There’s a little of everything with Belk department store, American Eagle, White House Black Market, Victoria’s Secret, and many more shops to cover all of your holiday shopping. Take a break from clothes and accessories and have coffee at Starbucks, dessert at Yay! Beignets, or see a movie in the 14-screen stadium seating movie theatre.

Wherever you decide to do your holiday shopping, don’t forget to stop and enjoy the view! The sugar white sand and emerald water attract thousands of visitors each year. It’s easy to get lost in the holiday bustle but take time out to unwind and relax. 2016 will be here before you know it.
