Dear Beach

It’s been 3 weeks and 3 days of quarantine to be exact.

How I miss your beauty, there is nothing that you lack!

I can see you; I can hear you; I can smell your salty air.

But to walk my feet across you would be a careless dare.

Oh, how much I wish I were with you hanging with my friends.

Spending the day on powder white sand until the sun descends.

Playing in the emerald green waters where laughter is all you hear.

How much time I would love to spend with you, every day, every month, every year!

You bring so much to our town, visitors, and locals you unite.

All come together from all over the world to enjoy your beautiful sites.

So, Dear Beach although you are off limits, just for a little while.

I will sit back and reminisce about you; it always brings a smile.

And as my mind is flooded with all the good times and the fun.

I will be making plans to see you again when all of this is done!
