Five Favorite Cocktails for a Festive New Year’s Celebration
New Year’s Eve is a time to celebrate the old and the new. We say good bye to last year's accomplishments and hello to a whole new set of dreams. Starting the new year off at your favorite beach destination is a sign of good things to come. Throwing an amazing party in your Destin Beach Condo complete with fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico, a delicious spread and killer cocktails, well that just makes you the host of the year! Here’s a few of our favorite New Year cocktail recipes to get your party started!
Midnight Martini
Pour 1 ½ ounces of vodka, ½ ounce of coffee liqueur, ¼ ounce of cinnamon syrup into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and stir then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist! Compliments of Bald Head Island Limited.
Christmas Cranberry Martinis
Put 1.5 fluid ounce of vodka, ½ fluid ounce of orange liqueur, ½ fluid ounce of dry vermouth, 3 fluid ounces of cranberry juice and 1 cup of ice in a martini shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into martini glasses and garnish with cranberries. Compliments of Garrett Realty Services Inc.
Winter Wine with Brandy
Combine 1 (750 ml) bottle of dry red wine, 1 orange (sliced into rounds), ¼ cup of brandy, ¼ cup of honey or sugar, 8 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks and 2-star anise in a non-aluminum saucepan, and bring to a simmer (not a boil — you don’t want to boil the alcohol out!) over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and let the wine simmer for at least 15 minutes or up to 3 hours. Strain, and serve warm with your desired garnishes such as: orange or lemon slice, cinnamon sticks and star anise. Compliments of Cabin Fever Vacations.
Key Lime Pie Martini
Pour 1 ounce of Vanilla Vodka, ½ ounce of Lime Vodka, 2 ounces of Coconut Milk, 1 Tablespoon of Lime Juice and ½ ounce of Simple Syrup into Martini Shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into chilled martini glasses and garnish with a slice of lime. Compliments of Perdido Key Resort Management.
Midnight Kiss Cocktail
Mix ¾ ounce of your favorite vodka with ¼ ounce of Blue Curacao, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into champagne flutes and top with champagne. Compliments of Shoreline Towers.
