Have Some Destin Fun this Winter

It seems like this year just flew by. Warm weather may be gone but the fun events keep coming! The crowds are gone so you’ll have plenty of space to get out and play in the sand. Bring a jacket or blanket and look for days with higher temperatures to still enjoy your beach days! You’ll still spot the groups playing football or surfers in wetsuits or even the kids splashing in the water as if it’s the middle of summer. Save the dates coming up for these exciting happenings around town and stay warm keeping busy on your Destin Florida vacation.

You can bring the family down to the harbor on December 1st for a Hurricane Michael Relief Concert. Beginning at 12pm at Margaritaville, there will be live musical performances by Brian Turner, Cadillac Attack and many more. The music will continue over at the HarborWalk Village main stage at 6pm with Eli Hannon and Crushed Velvet. Bring hurricane relief supplies or donations to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Michael.

Stop by the Grand Boulevard Farmers Market every Saturday morning for fresh produce, baked items, and a large selection of goodies from local vendors. 30A Farmers Market is open at Rosemary Beach on Sundays from 9am-1pm. You’ll find everything from homemade granola and jams to crafts and jewelry. Take home some goodies for yourself or bring a bunch back to your Destin condo to share.

Do you think you and your friends are good at trivia? Check out one of our local spots for trivia nights. Every Thursday night at 6pm, Grayton Beer Brewpub welcome teams to compete for Grayton Beer prizes. Destin Brewery also has fun trivia nights throughout the month and offer a family-friendly atmosphere. December 8th will be their Annual Chili Cook Off with local participants entering their best chili recipes.

The 30A Songwriters Festival is one of the biggest festivals of the year on the coast. This year, popular singers and songwriters from around the country will take over 30A January 18-21. Across 25 different venues there will be over 175 artists with 225 performances. Proceeds from the event benefit The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.

There’s no doubt about it. There will be plenty to do this winter while we wait for warmer weather. Add these dates to your Destin calendar and get ready for fun on the coast for the end of the year!
