Last Days of Summer Along the Emerald Coast

We are approaching the last few days of the season along the Emerald Coast of Florida. Wow has summer blown by this year! There’s still some time to get that last-minute beach vacation in before fall. Here’s a look at the last days of summer along the Emerald Coast.

One of our favorite late summer festivals happens at the end of August at Frank Brown Park, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. This three-day country music extravaganza brings in some big names such as: Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Big & Rick, Ashley McBryde and Kid Rock. There’s nothing like combining country music with a vacation on the beautiful beaches of 30A!

Miramar Beach welcomes artists and art lovers every late summer for Baytowne’s Art Walk. This three-day art festival begins on August 30th. You’re invited to stroll the Village streets and browse a variety of artwork from regional and local artists. Listen to live music each night on the events stage. Admission is free and open to the public.

When visiting the beaches of Destin get ready for fun in the sun all day long! That’s why one of our favorite late summer events is Paddle at the Porch. Join in a little friendly paddle board competition on the beautiful emerald green waters of Destin, Florida. Behind one of Destin’s most loved restaurants, The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster Bar, this event features a Kid’s Fun Paddle, 1-Mile Beginner Ride, 3-Mile Recreational Race and 6-Mile Elite Race. Races will be followed by food, fun and awards!

When visiting the beaches of Perdido Key, you’ll want to hit one of the many events hosted by The Flora-Bama Lounge. This famous beach bar is located right on the state line connecting Perdido Key, Florida to Orange Beach, Alabama. This landmark is a must providing live entertainment 365 days of the year as well as delicious food and drinks!

There’s still a little bit of the season left. How should you spend your last days of summer? Exploring the Emerald Coast of Florida!
