Summer Days Along the Emerald Coast

Destin Beach

Summer along the Emerald Coast of Florida is all about fun in the sun. I can’t wait to stick my feet in the powder soft white sand that the Emerald Coast is known for. The emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico are so refreshing this time of year. With so much to do during summer, the only question is, which beach town on the Emerald Coast will you be spending your time at?

The beach towns of 30A are some of my favorite. From the whimsical town of Seaside full of shops and cafes to the pristine beaches of Grayton which features camping, hiking, biking tails through sand dunes and pine flatwoods as well as two rare coastal dune lakes. You can enjoy the luxurious lifestyle at Alys Beach or relax in the laid-back atmosphere of Seacrest. The best part of 30A is you can experience a little bit of everything in one trip!

Head west on highway 98 to find the bustling beach town of Miramar Beach. A town full of colorful beach restaurants, condo high-rises, several resorts, golf courses and a sizable outlet mall. Beautiful white sand and emerald green waters keeps vacationers coming back year after year. An active beach scene keeps locals there to greet them.

A couple steps through white sand and you’ll find the “world’s luckiest fishing village” right next door. Destin, Florida boasts stunning beaches, challenging golf courses and world-famous fishing. With an abundance of underwater wildlife, the seafood options are endless. You can even watch your next meal come right off the boat at the Destin Harbor. From fresh grouper and snapper to ceviche and crab cakes. From oyster houses to sushi bars. From fried shrimp baskets to steamed crab claws. You won’t be disappointed come dinner time.

Next stop, Perdido Key! A bridge away from Pensacola, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama, Perdido Key is a secluded, relaxed little beach town nestled between two summer happening hotspots. Enjoy concerts, theater, an abundance of restaurants and nightlife on the eastside and westside, or just hang out on your cozy vacation rental balcony with a cocktail enjoying the sounds of the sea.

With so many amazing beach towns along the Emerald Coast, which one will you be booking this summer? I suggest planning a few trips to the Emerald Coast this year. Experience all these amazing beaches and pick your favorite!
