What’s New at Destin Brewery

DestinBrew

Destin Brewery opened last year and has grown quite a bit since then. Originally producing only limited batches for the local market, they are now brewing about 8-12 barrels a week and can be found in nearly 50 restaurants and bars along the Emerald Coast. This summer they opened their own tasting room at their Destin location and continues to be a popular spot to enjoy local brews.

Local food trucks have been pairing up with the brewery to provide meals with your favorite brew. Among these have been Rico’s Cuisine with delicious Latin fare and the Big Red Truck known for amazing fish tacos. You can purchase a flight of 4 different beers or pints and growlers are available. For those that prefer wine, it is sold per glass with complimentary snacks.

Along with giant Jenga and ongoing efforts to beat the current standing record, cornhole boards are set up during open hours. Starting this weekend, September 15th-20th will be the first annual cornhole tournament at Destin Brewery. There are no fees for competing but a grand prize will be awarded to the winning team.

Destin Brewery’s Destin Ale, Red Sky Rye, and East Pass IPA can be enjoyed at local venues. As for future growth? Owner Kelly Taylor has said, “Craft brewing is not a competition, it’s a community.” We are excited to see him living out his brewing dreams as well as keeping the locals happy. Destin Brewery is located on Mountain Drive on the north side of Highway 98, convenient to Destin condos. It is open on Thursdays to Saturdays with happy hours and tours available.
