This house was great! Clean, great distance to beach, very nice all around. Great location. Close to grocery store, restaurants and Alvin’s!, I would recommend this to families. We had 4 kids under 6 and 8 adults. Plenty of room! Loved it!

Nice House But....

This was a nice clean house in a quiet edition. Beds were comfortable and the extra bathrooms were a plus. Kitchen was nice and fully stocked. Balconies were nice and enjoyable. The chairs and umbrellas at the beach each day were fabulous. The beach crew that put them out each day was super nice and work very hard. Bonus to have extra beach chairs in the garage for use.
The beach is absolutely beautiful but unfortunately we had 3 days of double red flags so couldn't enjoy it to the fullest.
Biggest issue/complaint - messaged management through VRBO 4 times and then emailed 3 times and never got a response. Did finally call and leave a message about making final payment and someone called me back about that of course.
Obviously nothing is ever perfect and there were a few things that would have been nice to know before the trip.
Things to know and Improvements:
Parking is a nightmare with this house that is made to sleep so many people.
Active construction directly behind the house/pool... very loud at times
Only stair access going to and from the beach so wagons are hard to use
List of small kitchen appliances would be a nice addition to the listing
Back door by the pool would not lock

We stayed here in the summer of 2020 and had a fabulous time. Since then, there has definitely been some wear and tear on the property, and it is in need of updating. I did not want to sit on the sofa it was so dirty and drab. The first two days we woke up to construction, as they are building a house literally in the back yard. I get that happens, but think we should have been told ahead of time and it should have been reflected in the price. We have twin 9-month-olds and the constant nail guns made nap time challenging. There was also a cockroach family living in the dishwasher. We killed a couple of them, but at least one got away. We did a lot of hand washing. The kitchen tools also need to be replaced. On a more positive note, the location is great. Just a few steps to a very quiet part of the beach and close to the grocery store. Overall, a good vacation, but definitely feel like we overpaid this time due to the construction noise and the overused feeling of the furniture and kitchen supplies.

Our extended family of 13 enjoyed this house with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and luxuriously warm pool. Improvements would be welcome to the worn out furniture in the living room and the bean bag chairs no longer functional.

Wonderful rental! Beautiful and roomy house. Lots of stairs. Kitchen is well stocked. Front porch is amazing! Pool was so much fun for all our little ones! Access to beach is very short walk. Convenient location for groceries, restaurants. The 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas on the beach were a real perk (thanks, Simon!). Property management company responds within 24 hours. Aaron (the rep) was both professional and efficient. We hope to be able to rent this place again!

There were 16 of us 9 adults and 7 children ages ranging from 6-12. We had a great stay at this awesome location. The distance to the beach was fantastic. I loved the gated community which made me feel safe and secure at this property. The home met all of our needs and we all enjoyed the private pool after a long day at the beach.

our family of 13 (10 adults/ 3 grands) had a perfect vacation at this perfect house! Each bedroom (and bath) is spacious, super clean, nicely appointed. pool, 3 decks, garage, 24 hr security! Can't say enough good about this house! Don't hesitate to rent it! Thank you again for a wonderful experience "down by the sea"..!

This home was everything that we expected to be and more. Perfect for the 10 guests we had. We love Shipwatch and now we think after three years we found the best house. Our weather was 80-83 degrees and sunny every day! The Keurig Coffee machine was a bonus. Stairs were a little much for me, but not everyone. Pool was perfect. Had some minor issues with small things like a broken ceiling fan, not enough seating on the front deck, no TV instructions, but it wasn't a big deal. We LOVED the 2 setups on the beach, a huge plus. We also rented a golf cart and it actually came in handy. Be back next year!

We've been vacationing in the Shipwatch community of Miramar Beach for a number of years, but this was the first time in this property. The house was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. I do suggest that a few items be added to the kitchen: an electric can opener and at least one large heavy duty frying pan.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving! The house was beautiful, super clean and very nicely decorated. We had plenty of space! We didn’t cook much, but the kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, silverware and cookware. The location was perfect!
It’s literally .3 miles from Winn Dixie, across the street from the outlet mall and about a 30 second walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and we took advantage of the option to have it heated as the weather was a little chilly this time
of the year. We couldn’t have asked for more in a place for our family (of 11 people) to all stay together and have enough rooms - and bathrooms - for everyone.

Beautiful home with great decor. Less than 1 minute walk to beach. Beach views from balconies. New, nice, clean. Pool is on the smaller side but we stayed with 6 adults and 5 toddlers and it met our needs. Very cute and quaint community. The walk to the beach (which is about 10-15 yards from door to beach access) is on a quiet brick paved street. Home is also in walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, the outlet mall and more. Would definitely stay again.
