Perfect Condo for Perfect Beach

We had a great trip. I have actually been staying at Edgewater, for over 20 years. Family vacations in the summer, Fall vacations for just myself, and New Year trip to visit friends up and down the beach. When I come to Destin it is to see the beach and watch the ocean. Weather was cool, but knew that ahead of time. Service at check in was better than usual, and Condo 215 was great. I did need a spatula, and there was not one in that Condo, but we made do, when making cookies to take to dinner at a friends.It is convenient to everything, and the bottle of bubbly was a nice touch. Love Destin, Love Edgewater..

This condo is clean and comfortable and offers all the amenities. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials. The location is perfect. The staff on the property is professional and friendly. The beach is clean and free of seaweed. The pool areas are sparkling clean with plenty of lounge chairs. Definitely a family friendly property.

Another Beautiful Summer Vacation at Edgewater

Our family first began staying at Edgewater around 1995. We have been returning off and on since then. We have noticed many great improvements over the years. The last time we were there the units still used keys for entry. We love the new system as we don't need to carry a unit key around anymore. We also like that people cannot claim a beach-side chair by simply throwing a towel down and not returning to the chair for hours. The pools are always clean and the poolside snack bar is very convenient. We also really enjoyed the fireworks on the beach for the 4th of July this year. It was so festive - we had a blast! So far unit 215 is our favorite due to the close proximity to the elevator/stairs and beach and we will definitely request it next time. Destin is truly a beautiful vacation destination loaded with high-end rental properties to choose from but we are die-hard Edgewater fans and will definitely return next year. It's a family tradition we hope to continue for many more years to come!

Great Place To Call Home For a Week

The condos were great. They were very tastefully decorated and made you feel very much at home. The staff was very nice and if there was a question about something your doorbell was ringing within minutes with help. The reservation clerk, Laurel, was extremely helpful in helping choose just the right condo for my family. The condos were located very accessible to groceries, many restaurants and shopping. Great place to stay, just wish it could have been longer than a week.

Edgewater Beach Condos unit #0215

We enjoyed a relaxing week with sugar white sands and crystal clear water. Our unit was very comfortable with great balcony views of the lower pool and close views of the beach. Our garbage disposal went out due to old age but the Edgewater maintanance staff had a brand new one installed in less than 2 hours! The entire staff here are on the ball and make sure that you are taken care of and this includes the security staff as well.
One thing that was an annoyance this trip was the number of people, teens as well as some adult fathers, who dominated the lower swimming pool by turning it into a practice football field by tossing footballs across the length of the pool regardless of the people in swimming. Additionally we left the beach chairs and umbrella one morning because inconsiderate parents couldn't control their small children who were encroaching on our privacy and space. Unortunately we noticed several instances of such inconsiderate people during the week.
All in all however the Edgewater Beach Condominiums are our favorite place to stay in Destin.

The unit itself was wonderful. Clean and beautifully decorated. Tv in the bedroom was a little small, and the TV in living room was a little hard to figure out.Kitchen had everything we needed. Did not like the 10:00am check out time, Hotels are much more accomodating and the office staff was a little on the stuffy side. Did not like the "booking fee" or the damamge waiver since we usually leave a unit better than we find it. Greedy world we live in now. Beach service was excellent! above and beyond! Pools were great. felt very safe the whole time we were there.
