Not our first stay at HSRC, but our first stay in 303. It was a nice unit with a beautiful view. The room is right beside the stairs so it’s an easy 2 flights up and down to get to the pool, beach or your car. If you need an elevator, it’s a long ways away. The unit was nicely decorated and clean. I slept incredible on the bed closest to the windows, the other one wasn’t as comfortable. Also, the shower pressure in the shower was wonderful! The living room did feel a little crowded and made it hard to get into the dining room seats. The kitchen was missing frying pans, but when I called to the office they had a brand new set waiting for us. They now need some utensils that won’t scratch though, or they’ll be ruined.
Overall it was a nice stay. We’ll be excited to try out another unit on our next trip. We love the location and amenities of HSRC and will definitely be back.

We went there for my honey's birthday. We could not have asked for a better experience. The condo was clean, beautiful view, close to beach, amazing staff and we saw dolphins!!!! Once we overcame the check in hurdles, everything was fine. We arrived at about 3:40 to check-in and were told our room was not ready. We waited close to an hour in the lobby. The office staff was obnoxiously loud, singing, and generally having a great time as if they were at a party instead of a place of business. I could hear everything they were saying from across the lobby. I overheard one ask why we were waiting. That is when they realized that our room was ready and we were waiting for nothing. Maybe we would not have had to wait if they had been more acting more professional.

Easy check in and out process. The room was as expected and we picked this unit because of the double queen beds in the bedroom. We had a great view of the gulf and it was a quick walk to the beach. Our kids enjoyed playing tennis, shuffleboard, and of course swimming in the pool. We also picked this property because it is not a high rise and the beach did not feel crowded. Our only negative was when the AC would kick on, it was loud and would wake us up. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely come back to this property.

We had an excellent experience with the staff. Condo was ready and was to our expectations. Grounds were kept very clean. Pool was very clean. Down fall was the plywood ramps on each floor that allowed you to get your luggage carts up. Very unappealing. Work out room was nice and laundry areas were very nice. Parking was easy and we never had a problem finding a spot. I loved the entry code used to get into the condo instead of keys, it made it easy for the whole family. It was also nice that there was shuffleboard and tennis courts. It would be nice if they could add a small basketball court for teenagers.

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Destin in September 2021. We were in unit #303 and were very pleased with it. The only complaints we had were 1. the pans in the kitchen need to be replaced, they were very old and too small. 2. There wasn't much silverware, worked out okay since it was just the two of us. 3. microwave handle was broken and 4.the dishwasher door wasn't hanging correctly, but everything worked.

We had a wonderful stay in Florida. The Complex has everything you need. The weather was beautiful for our entire stay. Front desk staff was very helpful. The only downfall was at the time of our stay, was the Laundry Facility only had 3 washers to utilize with the other 3 being out of order. Overall the experience was great!

Had trouble with the door and gate code (got two codes for gate never worked). Disappointed that you only get clean towels twice a week and if you want new ones before they want you to pay at the laundry room to do their towels. Which the dryers were so bad you had to bring your clothes back to the room to dry. The dishwasher had nasty water in it! View was worth it though! Met some people who weren’t satisfied either

We are switching locks in the fall in hopes to address the issue with the door codes. We are still working out kinks with the gate codes from time to time. We didn't see any work order request for the dishwasher but we will be sure to make sure all of its functions are working properly. Linen exchange is currently two times a week in an effort to do our part for the environment but we can also look to see if further changes need to be made. We enjoyed our stay for the most part.... good points are that 2 beach chairs and umbrella came with the room (that saves $100) and the beach is nice and pool is nice (pool is a little small for such a large condo), room was quiet at night so that was nice ! Comfortable beds, room was very clean. We felt very safe. Things that I feel could have been better : linen exchange is only on Tuesday and thurs. we ran out of clean towels and washcloths, trash had to be taken downstairs to the parking lot dumpsters rather than having it on each floor. Grills are in the front parking lot rather than out by beach area. Our headboards were not bolted to bed well and squeaked with any movement. A/C did not get cool enough at 70 degrees mandatory setting, and the shower head didn’t have much water pressure and there isn’t a hand held sprayer. Both TV’s were older (not smart tv’s) so we weren’t able to watch Netflix. Landscaping was minimal. But overall it was a 3 out of 5 to us.

There were cockroaches (I have pictures.) the neighbors smoked consistently and was coming into our room. They are pretty selfish with towels and wash cloths. Only had 4 with a 4 day stay and not on laundry switch days.

Holiday Surf & Racquet does have Florida Pest Control to spray every first Monday of each month and we call them out for any same-day issues to keep bugs at bay. As an effort to be environmentally friendly we do offer linen exchange days so guests do not have to use the laundry facilities as much. Holiday Surf & Racquet Club also has a strict 250.00 fee for anyone who is caught smoking in units. balconies and non-smoking areas. We were happy with the location of Holiday Surf and Racquet Club. It was directly on the beach. The condo was clean. Good view. The pool was nice. Not a large pool but never crowded. It was nice to have beach chair service available with the unit. We had some issues inside the condo. The mattress was terrible. Very old. On the third night a metal bar fell from underneath the bed. Maintenance was good about fixing it quickly. The bathroom was small. The utensils were old and needed to be replaced. The a/c was so loud it woke us up each time it kicked on in the middle of the night. The owners had scheduled to have the bedroom window replaced. This took up several hours of my husbands time that he should have been at the beach enjoying his vacation. My only other complaint would be the walk from the elevator to the condo. It was like a maze and quite long.

We love each rental we have stayed in at Holiday Surf! Each one has the owner's personal style reflected. We really enjoyed the two queen beds in the bedroom. I traveled with, my mother and my teenage daughters. We had tons of fun being in the same bedroom but having separate beds. Location was great, beach service was great, parking was great!

Property is in a great location on the beach and near great restaurants and activities. This is good for families as well as couples. The unit was very clean and a beautiful view of the beach located on the beachside. I would recommend taking extra towels/bath cloths along with beach towels. There are only certain days you can get clean linens, and this unit does not have washer/dryer. It is located on another floor.

The unit needs to be updated, especially the bathroom. The bedding and mattresses need to be replaced as well as the living room couches. All of these items have apparently been around for many years. The bath towels were stiff and rough but that’s a housekeeping issue.

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. Great beach access (less than 5min walk). Really enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella as well as paddle boarding! Clean space. Bedding and appliances could use an update, but this wouldn’t keep me from staying here again.

The staff was always so helpful and friendly. The lobby was very nice and clean at all times. The condo we were in needs to be painted badly. The clean up between each guest needs to pay more attention to detail. The rug by the sink needed to be washed badly. I washed it. The outside of the refrigerator really needed to be wiped down. The dead fish on the beach due to red tide, needs to be picked up daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, the weekend stay was fantastic at Holiday Surf & Racquet Club. The condo (R303) was clean and decorated nicely, and had an amazing view of the beach. The property isn't new so there were a couple of maintenance issues, which were quickly resolved. We would definitely stay there again, but I would try to book it earlier to get a more reasonable rate.
