Not staying here again

This home is nice, location is great for access to the beach, pool and restaurants but we had way too many drawbacks to want to stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
First drawback: After flying in and having to wait until the check-in time of 4pm and following all instructions given on the email, we were unable to enter into our rental. The code wouldn’t work and we tried many times. We called/emailed the host and there was no help until 25 min after the 4pm check-in. That was extremely inconvenient given that we had 4 kids anxiously waiting to get in and settle. We were fortunately able to get in but the wait and code error was unpleasant.
The second drawback: This rental had a strong mold/mildew smell. Even a few of the kids mentioned it. We opened doors to cross ventilate and it helped a little but never went away. The mold/mildew smell lingered for our entire stay and even after (in our clothes/luggage) and it’s probably the reason a few of the kiddos got sick.
Third drawback: This home wasn’t very hospitable. The kitchen didn’t have even the slightest bare essentials to get by for even one day. Two coffee machine but no filters/pods sugar etc. Same for the bathrooms in terms for hand soap.
Fourth drawback: The bed linens were dirty. They were spotted and just looked dingy and old.
We made the best of our week long stay as we could but we won’t be staying here again.

Something is weird

We had read about the mildew smell in reviews and crossed our fingers, but then everyone at the condo got sick (AND DID NOT EAT THE SAME THING because we have seafood and non seafood eaters) even our visitors on Sunday who didn’t eat got sick. The common denominator is the mildew, and exposure to mold is dangerous.

Great Location but Opportunities

The first night the strong mildew smell made it impossible to sleep. A dehumidifier was brought by the next day which helped with with smell but it periodically came back. The floors were extremely dirty and only a small swiffer mop was available.

Elevator Broken/ No Storage

Nice unit with a few issues:
1. Elevator was broken for the 2 weeks. I emailed the rental agency when it would be fixed and was told that it had been broken for weeks and it was an HOA issue and no one knew when it would be fixed. . I understand things break but I feel as if I should have been told before move in date. Pain for moving things in and out.
2. No storage unit. We had to haul our chairs, umbrellas etc up the stairs to store on the balcony.
3. No bike racks, We had to haul the bikes up the stairs to store on the balcony.
4. No grill for unit or community grills.

Beautiful place

This was a very beautiful place. The condo was well furnished with comfortable beds. The decor was very extravagant and beautiful as well. The property was clean and very well maintained. Within a short walk of the beach was very nice and clean with beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. My only complaint is having 4 dead or dying roaches appear in the laundry room and kitchen. From what I understand about Florida though, this is a common problem.

Great week in Destin! Condo is off the main road just enough to enjoy peace and quiet! Condo was decorated nicely. I called the rental company and suggested and vacum be added and plastic cups. Renters do not have access to the garage. There were no beach chairs or umbrellas left by previous renters so be prepared to take or buy your own.

We have stayed here twice. Great location and just a short walk to the beach. The deck furniture is very nice, inside seating lacks a degree of comfort (dining table stools). Floors and bathrooms were clean but overhead lighting and fans were dusty. The property management is always extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends.

This was my first time staying in Miramar. The town was charming, the neighbors friendly, and the condo impeccable. The pictures that are posted do not give justice time how beautiful the condo actually is. The interior designer was very thorough and detailed. We had everything we needed. I was also pleasantly surprised on how well the beds slept. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

My friends & I had an absolutely perfect vacation. This rental has it all. It was beyond spacious for the 5 of us and had a beautiful view out to the gulf from the massive patio. We could easily walk to all needed amenities (shopping, restaurants, beach access). Lori and her staff had this place beautifully cleaned and well stocked and were available with any questions we had. We are already planning our next trip.

The rental was great in size, however we managed to trip on the flooring that wasn't glued down well, waited 24 hours to get a battery changed on a smoke alarm, and was verbally berated by a resident for smoking a Cigar by the pool. In the gentleman's defense there was some ash and matches on the ground that I fully intended to Clean up, but I suppose I had already disrespected him. I did clean up after myself as well. I didn't catch his name, but he resides on the top floor of the South building furthest condo to the West. I got the message and apologized for disrespecting to what he referred as his pool,but he clearly was trying to make a scene. Besides this the vacation was wonderful, I would stay at Pavillion Palms again as I believe this was just unfortunate circumstances that were minor set backs.

From the location to the layout and beautiful décor this is truly a top-notch beach condo. The spacious and nicely furnished covered patio with view of the grounds, pool, and the ocean was gorgeous. Gulf Get Aweigh exceeded all expectations and was the perfect choice for six adults to celebrate a retirement. Hoping for a return trip in the near future!
