Good location, poor communication and broken washer for our stay

Overall Comment
When we first arrived, I started inspecting for cleanliness and within 10 minutes found a previous guest’s sandal under the couch and a Polaroid picture tucked under the top bunk. There were also long strands of hair on the bottom bunk’s sheets and the rails were very dirty. We were just excited to be there, so I did some light cleaning myself and went on with our stay. Then that first night I went to do a load of laundry and water poured out under the washer. I called our host and he answered and said he’d come out the next morning. He did, and called to let us know the drum was cracked and it couldn’t be fixed until the day we left. I was traveling with my 4 children and really needed that washer. I reached out via VRBO, email, and text to let him know all we’d dealt with and that I was discouraged and asked for any sort of refund for our inconveniences and got no response. The location was great, the bed was comfy, the pool was nice. But coming home with 10 loads of dirty clothes left me annoyed, I had purposely searched for a condo that had a washer and dryer. Then to receive no response was a response in itself. I would also recommend anchoring in the shelf in the hallway, it was a little loose so I kept my baby out of there to avoid pulling it over on himself. Because of these things, I felt our stay was only average.

Great Stay in a Quaint Condo

Overall Comment
Nice, but dated condo that was close to the beach and conveniently located to everything we wanted to interact with. The accommodation was easy to get to with easy entry and exit. It was also located across the street from a grocery store and a nice restaurant (that served very large raw oysters on the half shell). The two-person love seat had a broken leg, the faucet in the bathtub was leaking, and the soft close cylinder on the front screen door needs to be replaced.
