Great Stay but Lost Shoes

We enjoyed our stay at St. Lucia 904. The access to the beach was really easy, which was a huge plus for us becuase we had a toddler with us. However, after we arrived home that night my wife realized that she left 6 pairs of nice shoes in boxes behind the door in the master room closet. I emailed destiny beach properties, called the Silver Shells security, and left a message witht he emergency Destiny Beach Properties number. When they called me back they said they didn't see any shoes when they cleaned the room and that the next family that stayed there didn't see them either. My wife is very stressed and very upset that she both left them to begin with and that no one found them or owned up to finidng them. I told the person I spoke with that unless the master closet door is closed and you are staning inside the closet you couldn't see them becuase they were behind the door on the floor but still nothing. Either the cleaning crew has them or the family that stayed after us do.

Great place to getaway! We enjoyed our stay, only minor things I’d recommend for a better experience is a few more bath towels( especially for families so not having to constantly wash towels) in the unit and we had issue with ceiling fans not working. Very minor things, and nothing that would prevent me from staying there again! The property is beautiful, our unit was clean, and the amenities were wonderful!

Nicely decorated, seems to have new living room furniture and carpet. Great access to the beach and pool area. View in pictures are what you see. Wal-Mart almost directly across the road. We extended our stay 2 nights and the rental company was very quick about getting our approvals. We will definitely rent this condo again.

We have been coming to Silver Shells for almost 20 years now. We stayed in nicer and larger condos as well as condos similar to this one. Condo has a wonderful view of both the ocean and Destin, so my husband loved sitting out at night and looking out over all of the lights of Destin and the ocean. Condo needs a lot of updating, from worn out furniture to updating decor. Condo has, for the most part, everything you would need. Outdoor seating was very nice. We had a relaxing trip though. I would rent again at this condo. Silver Shells does a great job keeping everything up.

The location of this unit was great, however, there were several factors that would lead us to choose a different place and different property management next time. The tub was out of order, which made bathing my small children extremely difficult. When I reached out to the property manager, I was told “you have access to a shower though” and received no further help or concessions. Another issue was that the sofa bed which was listed as an additional place to sleep was in disrepair as well, so we had family sleeping on the floor. Had we known these two issues about the property, we would’ve booked elsewhere.

The hideaway bed was broken and jetted tub out of order. The washer broke called emergency # didn't get a call back until 10am the next day. Just wasn't what I was expecting. Great view of beach though

The location of the property was nice, a little difficult to get in and out of without use of the side entrance gates going thru Restaurant Row. Disappointed with the fact that the previous guests took all but one key fob and we didn't receive additional fobs until Wednesday afternoon and you can't get to the beach, pool or into fitness club (offsite) without it. It was cumbersome to try and plan where everyone was going and how we were going to get in and out. Unit was clean and well stocked, although the living room furniture is very dated and worn and the sleeper sofa wouldn't pull out because a spring was stuck in the back of the sofa. The view was nice and the beaches were gorgeous.

The condo was amazing. The view was perfect, as well as the staff. Very helpful. I would 100% recommend this condo to anyone. It's in s perfect location also. Right in the middle close to everything you need and want to do. My only suggestion would be for the owners to update the sleeper sofa mattress and the master bedroom shower head, that's literally it. Everything else is wonderful.

My fiance and I spent the week here with a good friend and his wife and had a blast. The washer and dryer were very convenient for week. The community grills worked great. Pool was huge and never overcrowded. Great view from the balcony. I honestly couldn't say one bad thing about our stay. Anything that we needed, the property manager was just a text away.

Check in was a little anxiety provoking because we arrived on Sunday and none of the codes given were working. I called the number on the email and thankfully they answered. She was able to give us a working code to the main building door BUT once we got to the room that code didn't work either. I once again called and she was able to get a new code that let us into the condo.
The condo is larger than I thought it would be. I loved the floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms. The condo was comfortable and was stocked with pots and pans etc. Things that you'll need to provide in the kitchen are: seasonings, trash bags, paper towels, food, laundry detergent. Some of these items were provided but only enough to get you started. I also brought a set of my knives because rental condos always have dull knives and this was true here. Thankfully the Walmart is right across the street and they have everything.
My biggest concern was how long the walk to the beach would be, but I was very happy to discover that staying in St. Lucia didn't add too much to the walk. The beach is beautiful! Not crowded at all. We never had a problem finding a spot. The pool was nice and warm as well. We were also really impressed with the St. Lucia pool and hot tub. Even though the condo is set behind the other buildings, you are still able to see the ocean from the windows which is amazing. I loved waking up and opening the curtains to the beautiful green water.
Our stay was very nice and I hope we can come back!

St Lucia @Silver Sands. Very roomy condo. Giant master bathroom and walk in closet. Beautiful view of the beach and The Back Porch restaurant was within walking distance. This was our second stay and we will book again!

We stayed here in May 2018 ... Condo description and photos were totally accurate... grounds , pool , etc were meticulously maintained and pool staff were very polite and helpful . We did have a problem with the freezer but it was dealt with very promptly by Coreen and because of the inconvenience of this we were offered a free boat trip which was an amazing evening... The location of the condo in Destin is very central and would definitely stay there again .

We had a wonderful 10 day stay in unit 904 at St Lucia, Silver Shells. The idea a top notch property and this particular unit has a wonderful view of the gulf. This finds has everything you need and decorated very lovely. We had a nice quiet week and would definitely stay in this unit when we go back. Property management was also attentive and helpful which is always a plus!
